Transforming Through Banishing Old Habits

  • 1 small black candle
  • 1 small piece of paper
  • 1 Fire-proof dish (or sink)

Light the candle. On the paper, either write or draw a symbol of what you are
banishing. As you do so, imagine your life without this negative habit, and
visualize the joy you will feel when it’s gone. When you’re ready, say, “I
release this habit of _________, and welcome in the positive energy created
by its absence.” Light the paper with the candle and let it burn out in the fireproof
dish, or in the sink, if necessary. (As with anything fire-related, be very
careful with this step!) Leave the candle to burn out on its own in a safe
place.
